The Sunmills are what happens when you mix Hendrix riffs, Chili Peppers funk, and a deep-rooted fear of emotional intimacy. Hailing from Highland, Utah, they’re on a mission to revive ’90s alt-rock while accidentally exposing their own personal issues, one sarcastic banger at a time.
Their debut album The Art of Burning Bridges (out May 9, 2025) is a chaotic love letter to failed relationships, ghosted girlfriends, and the kind of self-sabotage that somehow looks amazing onstage. Each track is dripping with sarcasm, catchy hooks, and just enough honesty to make you wonder, “Wait…are they okay?”
It’s loud, unfiltered, emotionally messy, and probably the most productive thing they’ve done while avoiding therapy.
